The second week of May

The latest additions to our livestock collection

Drilling maple logs for shittake mushrooms

Inoculating the logs

Now we have to wait a year to see if it worked!

Fixing one of the pig troughs. The holes in the bottom are where the welds tore away, they broke them twice. The trough is made from an old culvert cut in half its tricky to weld...

So I decided some reinforcement was needed. The chief supervisor is inspecting my handiwork

Monday was a big day for the sheep... Before shearing (above)

After, enjoying their summer coats. Sorry no pictures of the shearing process, I was busy helping hold uncooperative sheep.

The fleece pile for the most part they were pretty clean.
