Piglets

Yesterday (Dec. 23) one of our sows gave birth to piglets.

They are purebred Herefords

Today they were up and about. Baby pigs hit the ground running.

Storing Field Corn

We use conveyors to move the corn into the corn crib.

The corn picker dropping the corn into the gravity box. Before I modified it the corn would drop towards the front, which meant I'd have to move it around with a shovel to fill the box.

Our machine shed has most of the roof in place so we can get some of our equipment out of the weather.

Field Corn Harvest

The field corn was ready to harvest in early November.

We use a corn picker which picks and husks the corn.

I added a piece of roofing tin so the corn would drop in the center of the gravity box.
